The Tracker SixTrack debuted in 1979 and was the Number 1 choice of Pro Skaters worldwide.  During the late 70’s, Tracker co-founder Gary Dodds prototyped a nylon baseplate that was actually lighter than the Magnesium bases.  With aerial maneuvers just coming on lightness was the key.  Skaters that rode their trucks tight found that there was flex in the base.  Gary and Larry redesigned the nylon baseplate in the mid 80’s and the new stiffer Ultralite Base was born.  As skating progressed a few skaters still found some flex in the New Vydynyte material.  By the late 80’s Trackers constant R&D found the perfect Carbon Graphite Composite material.  Stiff, Ultralite and Strong as Hell.  Larry has dug into his historic collection and released a limited amount of these Duralite Carbon Graphite Bases.

In 1975 Tracker introduced the Tracker FulTrack.  At 4 1/4” (106mm) wide it dwarfed the tiny roller skate trucks of the day. Many skaters weren’t ready for such a wide truck so Tracker built a HafTrack 2 5/8” (66mm) and next a MidTrack 3 3/8”  (85mm) wide.  By 1978 boards had begun to widen and Tracker introduced the Tracker ExTrack Truck.  A full 5” (127mm) wide the modern street truck had been cast and we thought it was built for Skateparks, Pools and Ditches!  By the very late 80’s, Streetskating began to dominate the scene.  In 1986 Garry Skate Davis, GSD, was the first Pro Street skater with a signature model deck.  Garry rode Tracker Classic Aluminum baseplates with ExTrack hangers and ground them on the curbs until he wore halfway through the steel axles!  Now 1990’s with tiny wheels and Ollie’s to everything Tracker designed an ultra low center of gravity baseplate, the Tracker B52.

Tracker Fastrack Facts:

The Fastrack has the same turning angle, trail and caster as the Randall.

The axle placement is identical.  They are the same widths.

You can flip the hanger for less caster and trail, just like on the Randall.

The pivot and kingpin bosses on the Fastrack are centered over the baseplate.

The centered bosses effectively moved the axle placement rearward in relation to the truck mounting holes.  This locates the truck mounting holes on the Fastrack .500” farther forward than on the Randall.  This means that when mounted on your board the Fastrack wheelbase will be about one inch shorter resulting in tighter turns.  However if your board was designed for Randall trucks the wheel wells could be too far forward causing wheel bite when using Fastracks.  Wheel wells and cutaways could be lengthened or additional mounting holes could be drilled in order to allow identical setups using either the Fastrack or the Randall.

The Fastrack baseplate has internal webbing for strength which allows for a strong and easy drop through deck mounting option. 

The Fastrack hanger has an aesthetically pleasing design and is much stronger than the weaker and more bulky looking Randall hanger.

The Fastrack comes with an oversize conical suspension cushion that is available in three hardness’s.  The Fastrack hanger also has a stepped cushion seat that will accept any standard size cushion and that greatly increases your tension options.  Varying deck widths, rider height, weight and riding style demand a wide range of tension adjustment.

The recent merger of Woodchuck and Tracker has allowed us to order Fastracks in larger quantities utilizing more efficient tooling resulting in a lower cost.  We are passing that savings on to you.  The Tracker Fastrack unit cost is now less than a Randall.

Our FulTrack hangers and baseplates are cast from original molds, and the baseplates feature the old school mounting hardware pattern. The hanger length of the FulTrack is 106 mm. We have assembled these trucks with black upper and lower cushions for better authenticity and both the hanger and the base are high-polished, just like they were in 1978. We do expect that these will sell quickly so if you are thinking of purchasing a set we suggest you do it quick.

These are just like the very early Tracker MidTracks of the late 1970′s and early 80′s. The hangers are high polished to beautiful shiny finish and feature Tracker’s second generation “gnarly” style pivot. The baseplates are cast from original molds and feature the old style bolt pattern only. The baseplates are also polished to a beautiful chrome-like finish and assembled with the utmost care. We are building these MidTracks with the original barrel style lower cushion and a traditional tall conical top cushion.

We just finished building this limited run of Classic Tracker Ex-Tracks. Many of you remember riding these on “Pig” style boards in the early 80′s. We poured these from the original molds and have built them with original Tracker, old school style base plates. These are drilled with the old school bolt pattern only! Both the hanger and base plate have been polished and they feature black upper and lower cushions. Our Ex Tracks are made to be ridden and, as with all Tracker Trucks, come with a full guarantee!
